“Tweens” Getting Breast Cancer at Increasing Rates

According to “CNN,” younger women, including “tweens,” girls ages 9 through 14, are getting breast cancer at increasing rates. Risk factors for cancer may include exposure to everyday pollutants, such as the chemicals bisphenol A (BPA) and dioxins, and obesity. While there is no certain way to prevent breast cancer, maintaining a healthy weight, eating fruits and vegetables, getting exercise, and limiting alcohol consumption are healthy measures that may reduce risks.
