Is the FDA “phasing out common sense” when it comes to BPA?

According to the “Chicago Tribune,” there is growing evidence the plastic chemical additive bisphenol A (BPA), allegedly found to leach from plastic and can packaging into foods and beverages, can harm adult reproductive systems and infant development. Although the FDA has not yet declared there is a safety issue with the chemical, the Canadian government has banned BPA from baby bottles and many manufacturers have begun phasing the chemical out of products such as thermoses and water bottles.
