FDA Should Replace BPA Committee and Chairman to Ensure Credibility

According to the “Milwaukee Journal Sentinel,” a federal panel investigating the safety of the plastic chemical bisphenol A (BPA) has been irredeemably compromised, a Journal Sentinel report has made clear, which leaves the U.S. Food and Drug Administration with no choice but to replace the committee and its chairman to ensure credibility. The issue resides over a $5 million donation from retired medical supply manufacturer and longtime regulatory critic Charles Gelman to the FDA.
