EUs Top Food Safety Body Determines BPA Harm Negligible

“Reuters” reports the European Union’s top food safety body, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), has determined the amount of a controversial chemical bisphenol A (BPA) found in baby bottles is tiny and cannot harm human health. Controversy surrounding the potential harmfulness of BPA erupted in the US and Canada after various studies involving laboratory rodents suggested that even small levels of BPA — used in products ranging from baby and water bottles to beverage cans — can be harmful.
