BPA and other Environmental Chemicals Deceive our Hormone Receptors

“High Country News” reports certain environmental chemicals, both natural and man-made, can bind to and deceive the hormone receptors that govern everything from metabolism to sex to the development of cancer. Chemicals such as DDT and bisphenol A (BPA), which was banned from plastic baby bottles this spring in Canada, are reportedly challenging scientists studying the actions of chemicals in the human body.
