The “Toronto Globe and Mail” reports glass maker Owens-Illinois, Inc. (O-I), will start making glass baby bottles for the first time in two decades to meet demand that is swelling on concern over the potential hazards of bisphenol A (BPA) in plastic bottles. According to the article, demand will most likely intensify following Canadian Health Minister Tony Clement’s announcement yesterday that the government will raise standards limiting BPA in baby products.
