The “Raleigh News & Observer” reports a chemical in lightweight clear plastics, bisphenol A (found in water bottles, soda cans, baby bottles, and microwave dishes), allegedly mimics estrogen, which some research indicates could harm human health, particularly the development of fetuses and newborn babies.
