Bottled Water Creates Environmental Havoc and Possible Dangers to Human Health

“TIME” magazine reports in addition to the “environmental havoc” created by the manufacturing and disposal of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottled water containers, the packaging may leach harmful chemicals after repeated use. According to the article, reusable bottles (often made of polycarbonate plastic) merit scrutiny as well, as such containers allegedly contain bisphenol A (BPA), which is a synthetic hormone that mimics estrogen.
