Parents Make Greener Choices for their Children

Illinois’ “Northwest Herald” reports parents are choosing non-toxic cleansers, biodegradable wipes, wooden toys and stainless steel sippy cups for their children after a recent American Academy of Pediatrics study showed widespread exposure among infants to phthalates (man-made chemicals found in personal care and other products) could make infants vulnerable to developmental and reproductive toxicity, according to the study.
