Ten States Introduce Legislation to Phase Out Plastic Chemicals in Children’s Products

According to the “St. Paul Pioneer Press,” parents are increasingly trying to reduce their children’s exposure to potentially harmful chemicals, such as the plastic chemical bisphenol A (BPA), and some are going as far as banning plastic from their homes. Many recent studies have reportedly highlighted the connection between these chemicals to human health problems, probing 10 states to introduce legislation that would phase out two plastic chemicals — bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates — in children’s products.
