Nalgene Water Bottles Removed from Mountain Equipment Co-op Shelves

The New York Times reports Nalgene polycarbonate containers, a line of water bottles that had allegedly become a symbol of environmental responsibility, have been removed from the shelves of The Mountain Equipment Co-op, which is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The bottles allegedly contain bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical which has recently come under scrutiny for its possible dangers to human health.
