Most Soft Plastic Baby Products Allegedly Contain Enough Toxins to “Hurt a Child”

According to the Tyler Paper, “environmentalists are warning parents that most soft plastic baby products — bottles, play toys, bath books — contain enough toxins to hurt a child.” The article also claims that for nearly “a decade environmentalists have cried out that plasticizing chemicals [such as phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA)] used to manufacture plastic baby bottles contain harmful toxins.” According to the article, “Phthalates have been linked to reproductive system damage, cancer and asthma; Bisphenol-A to learning disabilities, obesity, hormone development and fetus development.”
