Jury Still Out on Possible BPA Health Risk

According to WebMD.com, the jury is still out on whether there is a health risk associated with exposure to bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical that allegedly “leaches from plastic baby bottles, food/beverage cans, and many other products” and can reportedly cause developmental diseases, cancers and obesity. A scientific panel for the National Toxicity Program found the chemical poses “some” concern for children, but allegedly no major health risks. Ninety-five percent of humans reportedly carry measurable amounts of BPA in their blood, according to the CDC.
