According to the Vancouver Sun, plastic may not be the best material to store your bottled water because plastic “bottles are made of polyethylene terephthatlate (PET) and diethylhexl adipate (DEHR), and are not meant to be used repeatedly because these chemicals can leach from the bottle into the water.” According to the article, polycarbonate water bottles could also leach a chemical, bisphenol A, into water contained.
