Pregnant women who use certain types of plastics containers could be putting their unborn babies at risk

The Telegraph reports that pregnant women “who consume a chemical found in everyday plastic products such as food containers and water bottles could be putting their unborn children at risk of developing cancer and other diseases when they reach adulthood.” According to the article, exposure within the womb to the plastics’ chemical bisphenol A (BPA) can allegedly cause changes “linked with diseases such as obesity, cancer and diabetes.”
