Scientist Mother Worries about Daughter’s Exposure to Bisphenol A

PlosJournals.org reports on a scientist’s worries about her daughter being exposed to the chemical bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical that she researches. According to the scientist, “although the plastic industry continues to assert that BPA is safe, the chemical’s endocrine-disrupting properties raise concern about its potential to cause harm.” The chemical is allegedly found in plastic baby bottles, sippy cups and plastic teething rings.
