“Bottled Water Backlash”

The July 9, 2007 edition of ABC’s World News Tonight explored the bottled water industry and the negative impact it is having on the environment. According to the report, plastic bottled water is “doing so much damage” as 50 billion bottles were consumed in 2006, billions of which (almost 40 billion just last year) end up in landfills. Salt Lake City and San Francisco are reportedly two cities taking action to minimize the use of bottled water.
