Plastics Chemicals Allegedly Ending Up in San Francisco Bay

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, chemicals found household products such as toothpaste, deodorant, canned food liners, vinyl and polycarbonate plastics are allegedly leaching synthetic chemical ingredients that are ending up in the San Francisco Bay, reportedly posing a threat to wildlife and humans. Three types of chemicals—phthalates, bisphenol A and triclosan—are all allegedly suspected to interfere with human and wildlife hormone systems.
