Phthalates targeted as one of 10 toxic chemicals to phase out of products

The Worcester Telegram & Gazette reports that activists in Massachusetts are calling for legislation that would force manufacturers to phase out the use of 10 toxic chemicals and remove them from workplaces and everyday products. Phthalates, which are plasticizers and can allegedly leach “from the vinyl into fluids,” are among the 10 materials being targeted.
