Safeway to expand private label organic brand line, O Organics

Safeway supermarkets introduced its popular O Organics private label line a year ago, and according to the East Bay Business Times, the line has proven to be so popular that the company will soon be expanding its brand with foods for babies and children aged 6 to 12 years old. Safeway introduced several products under its O Organics line last year, including pasta sauces and salsas, which are packaged in glass. Glass packaging is made of abundant natural materials and is inert, thus doesn’t leach chemicals or unnatural substances into the foods and beverages it contains, thus is a natural fit for organic products.
