Chooosing Glass for Sustainability and to Protect Foods

Articles have lately surfaced claiming that plastic packaging materials may leach chemicals, such as phthalates and Bisphenol A, into the foods and beverages it contains. In comparison, the current article from Brand Packaging magazine dubbs glass as “a sustainable packaging solution for more than 200 generations,” and says that the material is “a safe and healthy choice for food and beverage brands because it is chemically inert, meaning it doesn’t interact with the products it houses. It’s impervious nature also protects and preserves its contents, which increases shelf life.”
