Plastic and our health—are we paying a hazardous price for plastic?

According to the United Press International, a new study shows that bisphenol A (BPA), a manmade chemical that mimics estrogen in the body, can “make breast cancer cells multiply” in addition to being able to enter the cells.

The article goes on to say, “Critics of BPA claim the molecule tricks the body’s estrogen receptors into acting like true estrogen, causing physiological changes that possibly lead to cancers of the breast and prostate.”
