Allergic reactions to food wrappings

According to the Telegraph, a Britain based news publication, some food wrappings contain hidden rubber proteins, predominantly latex, that can trigger allergic reactions. The article reports that one in six percent of the population is affected by latex allergies, however, food manufacturing companies are not required to include latex disclaimers or warnings on packaging labels.
