Here is another plastic recycling problem, this time out of California:
According to this article, consumers and officials struggle with a recycling solution for ubiquitous bags. Unless you’ve memorized the rules for residential recycling, you might think you’re helping the planet every time you toss a plastic grocery bag into a curbside container.
But you would be wrong. Even though many plastic bags feature the “chasing arrows” recycling logo, they are banned from curbside collections for various reasons.
